When you access and use Originum.app, we automatically collect certain data to help us understand how our service is used and to improve its functionality. This may include:

  • External Content Analysis: We may send your submitted content to third-party APIs for what is necessary to return a result to you and for our algorithm's continued improvement (as described below).   • To Provide and Maintain Our Service: Delivering the fact-checking results, managing your account, and ensuring the app functions correctly.
  • To Improve Our Algorithm: Your submitted claims (and their associated AI responses) are anonymized feedback are used to train and refine our proprietary fact-checking algorithms. This helps us provide more accurate and comprehensive analysis over time, with a focus on improving the AI's performance, not identifying individual users.
  • For Analytics and Performance: We use Google Analytics GA4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with our platform, find areas for improvement. This helps us optimize the user experience, identify popular features, and address any issues before or improvement needs wherever possible.
  • For Security and Safety: To protect Originum.app and our users from fraud, abuse, and other security risks.

  • With Third-Party APIs: As outlined above, your claim results are shared with AI providers and other third-party services (including but not limited to Perplexity AI, AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, YouTube Data API, and other Google services like Google Authentication) solely for the purpose of providing fact-checking services.
  • With Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate our business (authentication, cloud hosting, analytics, including Vercel) with partners services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • For Legal Reasons: If required by law, regulation, or if we believe it's necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.
